Art Posters |
In
late 1998 Maxine was commissioned to design and paint a school poster for
Lone Rock School in Stevensville, Montana. The Montana State Arts Council
provided the funds through a grant for the "Building Community through the Arts"
program. The poster has provided a continuing source of funding for
the school through sales of greeting cards and whole poster prints reproduced from the original. Maxine has also taught color coordination and
art classes at Lone Rock. |

After
the
Lone Rock Poster was copied and printed on the cover of
a folder produced by the Montana Arts Council, the folders, with
insertions illustrating the results of the "Building Community
through the Arts" program, were distributed for use by a
variety of organizations including the National
Endowment for the Arts. Maxine was credited for the Cover Art.

Maxine
was commissioned to paint another poster in 2000 by Meadow Heights School in San
Mateo, California. As before, the school was granted exclusive rights to
copy the original and
make prints and greeting cards for fund raising. |
